Cedar Park is a city just Northwest of Austin, Tx. It is one of the fastest growing cities in the state and the Nation. It is the 3rd largest city in the Austin Metro and for good reason. Family Circle in 2007 named this area one of the Top 10 cities to raise a family. There are over 52,000 residents in Cedar Park.
What's happening in Cedar Park?
The Cedar Park Regional Medical Center opened in December 2007. It is a 150 bed facility that offers full-service medical services from Surgery, pregnancy/birthing facilities, Intensive Care, ER 24/7, Woman's Health Services and much, much more.
Cedar Park's fun things to do
Cedar Park has many parks but the newest park is the Brushy Creek Sports Park which offers softball/baseball fields, soccer and football fields. There is a playscape, walking trails and a disc golf course.
It seems this area is all about the sports and recreation. Cedar Park recently broke ground on the Cedar Park Sports Center where they will hold the Texas Star Hockey team, rodeos, live entertainment, concerts, shows, ice skating and other events. This center is a 6,800 seat facility which just opened in September 2009.
The People
Cedar Park offers great schools, a family-oriented atmosphere where the majority of the people are under the age of 40. In addition, according to the Police website, there is a very low crime rate in this city. Cedar Park has a very strong workforce with 2/3 of its residents have some college and almost 50% have a college degree or higher.
